Traditional Lion Dancing and Drumming
Shaolin Kung fu Institute Flemington is one of the only schools from outside of New York City's Chinatown neighborhood to participate in the Lunar New Year celebrations and lion dancing in Chinatown during the Lunar New Year.
Students learn the basic lion dance and practice in the lead up to the actual datein February of each year. Students also have the opportunity to learn and practice the Shaolin Kung fu Institute's unique lion dance drum, gong, and cymbal rhythms.
